The new bane of the internet is the new rising threat of Ransomware. Until worldwide governments make it a mandate to execute these cybercriminals on site, ransomware is only going to increase by the day. 24 billion in paid ransoms means there is no end in site. Anyone who has had the pleasure of being hit by one of the many forms of ransomware knows about the pains of restoring entire servers or even worse, paying the ransom.
McAfee, Symantec, and the like are just not quick enough to catch zero day ransomware, which seem to spring up left and right.
Although we may not be smart enough to prevent every possible infection, you may be able to stop an infection dead in its tracks if one of your users do get infected.
