Any IT guy worth a damn knows the unfortunate curse of being the "it" guy (no pun intended). Family only calls when they need a
virus removed. Friends seek you out only for pirated software. You rarely have free time because you're always fixing other
people's problems. That's the unfortunate stigma of any good IT guy. If none of these scenarioes fit your description, then I guess
you're the opposite of the old poker saying: "if you dont know who the sucker at the table is, it's you". I guess if you can't tell
that you're THE IT guy, then you're probably not him. Feel lucky cause everyone's bothering someone else. And he's probably better than you.
But thats probably why you're reading this. To get better.
But if you're one of the unfortunate good ones, then i sympathize. in fact, i'd wonder why you're here reading this. but then
again, this site here exists to help everyone's lives be better in the ever changing world of IT. So good or bad, new or
experienced. IT is here to stay and unfortunately you have the painstaking task of maintaining it. I just hope i can make your
experince better than what i and countless others have already had to go through.
